Upgrades to the Silverstone circuit are nearing completion, according to organisers of the British Grand Prix

The Northamptonshire track has benefitted from a multi-million pound investment which involves a new track layout for this year’s race and improvements to spectator facilities. The new ‘Arena’ layout will play host to Formula One, Moto GP and World Superbikes this year.

Talking to Autosport, Silverstone’s managing director Richard Phillips said, “Work on the circuit and venue is on schedule. The team has been working around the clock, through some pretty terrible weather conditions, to make sure the circuit is ready on time.”
