Thomas Chatfield's adventure in his step-father's 4x4 took him four miles
along country lanes and a dual carriageway before finally crashing into a
wall.
After all the teasers, concepts and hints, Mini has finally showed us what its 4x4 Countryman will look like.
As expected, it borrows heavily from the looks of the Beachcomber concept we saw at the recent Detroit motor show, but this time it has doors. The Countryman will come with a wide range of engines, ranging from the 90bhp entry-level diesel to a 181bhp Cooper S. A performance John Cooper Works version is also likely to join the line up.
