How idiotic is this? My colleague lives in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (he’s obviously paid more than me) and he rides a motorcycle. For which privilege, he has to stump up £80 per annum for a resident’s parking permit.

If he agrees to park solely in the motorcycle bays, he pays a lot less, but we all know there ain’t often a motorcycling bay where you want it – ie near your house, and I prefer to be able to keep an eye on my bike if it’s parked on the road. The motorcycling bay on my street is right opposite a pub – what a nightmare.
